Professional Development
NAAAP provides a great professional environment and a way for you to advance your career. Through our Professional Development programs, volunteer opportunities, and leadership roles, NAAAP exposes you to various disciplines, career, and industry choices and provides you the communication, planning, and change management tools that every Asian professional needs in today’s workplace.
Some of our training is designed for the younger professional covering a variety of topics from: “How To Build A Better Resumé,” “Networking and Expanding Your Circle of Contacts,” and “Personal Brand.”
Advanced training may include “Vendor Negotiation,” “Public Speaking and Pitching a Client,” and “Sponsorship Relations.” NAAAP offers its training during the National Leadership Academy, Leadership Convention, and occasionally online.
Expanded Network
We are convinced that Asian Americans who develop a broader network can expand their individual leadership, interpersonal, visioning and executive skills, AND have greater influence on others at work and in the community. NAAAP offers a ready-made network including informal and formal mentors to help our members engage, connect, and achieve.
Community Driven
NAAAP, through its many leadership and service opportunities engages Asian American and Asian Canadian professionals into a larger community.
NAAAP members tend to get highly engaged at work (ERGs), in the community (mentoring, community service, tutoring, mentoring, serving on advisory boards, fitness and wellness programs) We are leaders in our families, workplace, and community.
