Chien-Mei Chang began attending NAAAP Boston events in 2005 and became a leader on the Community Service Committee from 2007 – 2009. She continued her service as a Board Member from 2010 - 2012; and has recently rejoined the Board of Directors in September 2019. In 2012, she took time off to obtain her Masters of Science in Organizational Learning and Development, along with a Certificate in Organization Development from Suffolk University. It was Chien-Mei’s involvement with NAAAP Boston which was part of her drive and motivation in changing her professional career path and obtaining her Masters degree. Chien-Mei looks forward to bringing her past NAAAP Boston experiences as a leader and member; as well as her academic and professional background (leadership/learning and development) to her Board of Directors Member role. Her role also compliments her professional development interests in helping to form and execute strategy; as well as to be a resource for and support the leadership and members in their career development interests/goals. As a Board Member, Chien-Mei looks to leverage her professional background with adult learning, training/facilitation, mentoring, learning & development, leadership development and organization development.

Professionally, Chien-Mei is a Leadership Development Program Manager at Parexel International, LLC, since 2016. Parexel is within the CRO industry, focused on supporting the development of innovative new therapies to improve patient health through a suite of services that help life science and biopharmaceutical customers across the globe transform scientific discoveries into new treatments for patients. Prior to working at Parexel, Chien-Mei served within talent management and learning/leadership development areas for biopharmaceutical companies, Cubist Pharmaceutical (now Merck & Co.) and Shire Pharmaceutical (now Takeda Pharmeceutical). Prior to working within the healthcare and biopharmaceutical industries and within human resources, Chien-Mei worked in the marketing and finance business areas from 2003 to 2011. Chien-Mei also obtained her undergraduate degree, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a major in Marketing from Boston University in 2002. 

Personally, Chien-Mei was born and grew up in Livingston, New Jersey. She has been working and living within and around Boston, MA. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, as well as building upon and connecting with those in her communities and networks. She has been involved with various cultural activities, such as being part of several dragon boat teams and performing lion dance and dragon dance with a nonprofit association called GundKwok (All Asian Women Lion & Dragon Dance Troupe) from 2010 to 2017; as well as being their Performance Booking Manager from 2014 - 2017. Chien-Mei looks forward to contributing her passion towards being a resource to the NAAAP Boston Chapter, its leaders and members.
