Although retired from teaching at UNLV, I remain active with several projects and boards in which I have mostly continued from my involvements while still working. Most of my family are in California, but they like visiting Las Vegas - so I see them regularly without having to leave town. Amazingly, I still keep in touch with many former students - especially those who were players for Rebel Hockey which just won their league's National Championship. While still working at UNLV, I served as Faculty Adviser of Rebel Hockey as well as FASA, the Filipino American Student Association.

I was recently asked to help start a Las Vegas Chapter of FANHS, the Filipino American National Historical Society - especially now that Clark County has officially approved a Filipino Town area in Las Vegas. I am also an Advisory Board Member of a tech AI startup company in Las Vegas connected with the new NIL landscape of college sports.
