Kin emigrated with his family from Hong Kong to New York City in 1969 and is a product of the fine public primary and secondary school system in the US. Kin attended the Bernard M. Baruch College in New York City and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. After graduation, Kin worked for consulting firms specializing in tax before joining the internal tax department of a major company. Kin ultimately left the New York area with his family to lead the tax function of a bio-pharmaceutical company in Massachusetts and has been living in New England since 1998. Kin is now the Senior Vice President, Corporate Tax for Hasbro, Inc. based in Rhode Island and leads a team of professionals dealing with complex tax and financial matters in more than 35 countries around the world. Being a first generation immigrant and having received an excellent education from the public school system, Kin has a keen interest in giving back to the Asian American community. Joining NAAAP in a senior capacity gives Kin the opportunity to mentor and develop the next generation of Asian American professionals. Professionally, Kin is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. Kin is also a member of the Tax Executives Institute and the International Fiscal Association.
