Ren Egawa is the founder and CEO of Rexcel Group and an international tech industry veteran with over 30 years of experience. His expertise and strategic insights have been sought after on a global scale, including being featured in the Nikkei Electronics 40th Anniversary edition where he offered strategies to revitalize Japan's electronics industry. He was one of the recipients of the Matsushita Board of Directors Award for his multifaceted role as both an engineer and an industry leader. As an engineer, he co-developed a groundbreaking Panasonic technology that fostered the convergence of the broadcast, computer and communications industries. As an industry leader, he represented Panasonic in Washington's FCC committees where he helped driving the widespread adoption of this technology, and propelled it to become a national standard in the United States.

A resident of Greater Philadelphia since 1993 and a naturalized US citizen since 2003, Ren was born in Taipei, grew up in Tokyo, and is fluent in Japanese, Mandarin Chinese and English. Ren is an avid rugby and violin player, and is actively engaged in supporting cultural organizations in the US, Japan and Taiwan. He serves as the Chair of Philadelphia's Cherry Blossom Festival 2024 Committee, Vice Chair of the Board of Directors at the Japan America Society of Greater Philadelphia, a member of the Board of Advisors at Asian American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Philadelphia, Opera Philadelphia’s Community Advisory Council and The Philadelphia Orchestra’s Ambassador Circle.
