With nearly three years of experience in performing consulting and compliance assessments for the leading cloud service providers, Rhea is currently an Associate GRC Manager at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC Group) and JRI America Inc., a subsidiary that provides IT services for SMBC Americas. She is adept in adaptability, client communications, project management, technical trainings, and testing the effectiveness of client artifacts across leading security frameworks and technical, logical and security controls.

Prior to SMBC, Rhea was a security assessor for Coalfire where she lead and delivered on-time security compliance assessments across various frameworks and reporting agencies, such as HITRUST, HIPAA, SOC, and C5, for cloud service providers and across in the enterprise technology, retail and healthcare sectors. Additionally, she was an enterprise resource group (ERG) lead for OASIS, an internal Coalfire ERG, focused on driving cultural awareness and equity for Asians, Indians, and Pacific Islanders.

Prior to Coalfire, Rhea was a security consultant for a K-12 charter school in Chicago where she supported a security assessment and email phishing campaign. At the Partnership to End Addiction based in New York, she was a first line technical support, program and technical project manager for a proprietary web-based CRM platform utilized by healthcare professionals, non-profits, state governments and customers.

Rhea transitioned to the cybersecurity and technology function after over five years experience as a digital marketing analyst and consultant for American Express and a Fortune 100 client where she launched and managed multi-million dollar digital campaigns, product capabilities and change management compliance initiatives.
